Program Manager Darwin – Senior Relationships Services

An exciting full-time opportunity exists to join RANT in a new program for older people.

The Senior Relationship Services (SRS) Program will provide mediation, case management and counselling for older people and their families as a means of finding solutions to underlying problems that can drive elder abuse. Services will be provided in Darwin, Katherine and remote areas as required.

The Program Manager will be based in Darwin. They will be responsible for a small team and will ensure that the quality of the clinical services within the SRS is developed and maintained at a high standard to meet the changing needs of clients and funders as part of RANT’s commitment to quality client services.

Key skills for this position include:

  • Eligibility for AHPRA, AASW or other professional memberships or registrations.
  • Management and team development skills.
  • Substantial experience in mediation or counselling
  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed and culturally appropriate practice.
  • Knowledge or experience in gerontology would be considered an advantage.

We require applicants to have tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work or counselling. Experience is essential in the delivery of therapeutic work, the provision of clinical supervision and some experience in middle-level management is desirable. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced practitioner to develop their management skills. Knowledge or experience in gerontology would be considered an advantage.
