About the Role:

As one of the first points of contact, you will provide effective screening and referral services to clients, undertake case management, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information. As a team player, you will contribute to a positive work environment and liaise with a dedicated team of counsellors, mediators, and other professionals.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or other relevant areas.
  • Demonstrated client service experience.
  • Ability to remain calm and support distressed clients in person and over the telephone when required.
  • Demonstrated case management experience, information recording, file administration, and liaison with service providers to deliver effective client services.
  • High level of administrative skills and experience using IT databases and computer systems.
  • Experience providing referral options for clients to access appropriate services.
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality over sensitive client information.
  • Contribute positively to a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Experience working with clients from diverse background, including Aboriginal, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients.

Desirable:

  • Awareness and understanding of safety concerns such as family and domestic violence and child safety for screening and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • A satisfactory Northern Territory working with children check.
  • A satisfactory national criminal history check.
  • A commitment to our Safeguarding Children Practice and Behaviour Guidelines.
